Elder Paisios, will Christ intervene in these harsh years?
Yes. Just like the Saints, Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ often appear to a wronged man worthy of divine assistance in order to save him; particularly now that the poor people are in such a dire state. Now it’s just a passing storm, a brief occupation of the Antichrist Satan.
Then he will be so strongly shattered by Christ that all nations will be in awe, and serenity will reign in the world for many years. This time Christ will offer an opportunity for His creature to be saved; how can he abandon His creation? He will appear when man is in a stalemate to save him from the hands of the Antichrist. They will return to Christ and spiritual peace will envelop the universe for several years.
There are some who associate Christ’s intervention with the Second Coming. I can’t say that. My reason tells me that it won’t be Christ’s Second Coming, when He comes as a Judge; it will be an intervention, for there are so many events that haven’t occurred yet. Christ will intervene, shatter this entire system, defeat evil and eventually bring good to the world.
The streets will be replete with shrines. Icons will feature on buses. Men will believe. They will be asking fervently for you to talk to them about Christ! So will the Gospel will be preached across the entire world; then Christ will come as a Judge to pass judgement.
Judgement is one thing; Christ’s intervention to save His creation is another.
